Future Raptors in the House! Yesterday was extra special as we welcomed our incoming kindergarten class (the class of 2038 🤯) for Kindergarten Signing Day! Our tiniest learners came dressed to impress and ready to take their first big step into the world of elementary school. With bright smiles, proud families, and a whole lot of excitement, these future students “signed” their commitment to start kindergarten with us next fall!

Don't forget to wear your spirit gear tomorrow! Remember the class in each grade level to wear the most spirit gear on spirit day will get the spirit stick for the month. If you bring a dollar you can purchase a fun zipper bracelet.

Kindergarten is enjoying an ABC countdown including E-exercise day and F-Flashlight reading day.

Yesterday, our students walked the walk—logging a jaw-dropping 4,732 laps in one epic day at PTO's Walk-A-Thon! They brought their best attitudes and full energy as they took to the track, one lap at a time. Money raised will go to much-needed improvements to our playground's walking path.

🌟 Certified Employee of the Month: Carly Butt! 🌟 Let’s give a big round of applause to Carly Butt, Certified Employee of the Month for April and kindergarten teacher at Rock Creek Elementary School! 👏🍎 Originally from Bellflower, California, Carly became a teacher to share her love of learning and to create a classroom that’s safe, loving, and full of fun. One of her favorite things? When students actually laugh at her jokes! 😄 Described in one word as loyal, Carly draws daily inspiration from her incredible teaching partners, who help her grow. She loves reading, sipping coffee (just not lukewarm!), and exploring Idaho adventures with her husband and their dog. 🐾☕📚 One day, she hopes to visit Ireland! 🍀 For Carly, the best days on the job are whenever she can smile and laugh with her students—because learning should always be fun! 💛 💬 Principal Note: “Carly is truly a ray of sunshine at Rock Creek.
