Photos from Mrs. Jones' 5th grade- "Genius Hour" research projects, and their March Book Madness bracket. They are reading the winning book now and the kids are enjoying it--they complain every time they end a chapter, and they have to wait another day to find out what happens next!

Our first grade teachers have organized an ABC Countdown. Every day for the remainder of the year, they celebrate a letter of the alphabet. Today was Cc and the 3rd graders joined in with some creatively, cute Crazy Hair!

Hope that you all had a Hoppy weekend! Remember that school dismisses at 2:00 on Mondays. Please turn in your reading minutes. Also, we will resume our State testing this week for 3rd-5th grade.

One of our Bobcat families graciously allowed me to share some photos from the Princess Dance. The Twin Falls High School Student Council recent sponsored this amazing event. It sure looks like a night of happily ever afters.

Look at all these smiling faces! Miss McNeil's 3rd graders are all published artists. Each student researched a section of the book - All About Pets. They also illustrated their work. Miss McNeil generally publishes a book a year. They are a lot of work, but look how proud those Bobcats are. Way to go!

Congratulations to Miss. Johns' 3rd graders for being last week's Mahomes winners. Their class read more than anyone else. Miss. Johns would like to remind everyone to read to themselves, to their friends (real or imaginary), to their families, to their pets - just read. Keep up the good work, everyone!

Our PTO Spotlight shines brightly on 3 very special people - Mrs. Garcia, Mr. TJ, and Ms. Jere. This group makes sure that our school runs smoothly and that everyone is well cared for.

TFSD Dual Immersion Program! Applications are open now! The Interested Parent Meeting is on April 29, 6 p.m., at Bickel Elementary School.

We can't wait to see our Bobcats be their BEST selves as State Testing begins this week. Help your child to get plenty of rest and a solid breakfast this week. It is also important to make sure to be on time. Our 3rd-5th graders will start their ELA (English Language Arts) testing early in the day so they don't have to rush. Remember- school is dismissed at 2:00 on Mondays.

Bickel is so lucky to have such supportive families and community members. $2,000 dollars worth of Amazon was recently delivered to Bickel Elementary. It was very exciting to watch the packages being unloaded. It was even more exciting to see what was in the boxes! (Don't forget to turn in your reading minutes from last week!)

The kindergarteners each made a "poster" to help celebrate the alphabet. They were all so special and creative.
